about

I wrote this song after seeing someone, a stranger, who seemed to me to be on the brink of adulthood...everything ahead of her, waiting to find the world and for the world to find her. I always heard it being sung by a girl and in my new friend Karen Bates, I found the perfect voice for my song...

We did 2 mixes, one (the 'A-Side') with my friend Simon Winner on double bass and, via the wonders of the internet, Major Baldini on drums. The other mix (the 'B-Side') was just stripped back Karen and my harmony and guitar.

lyrics

These arms are empty now, these arms are open
I love the clothes I wear, I love these clothes, I chose them
Where in the world am I?
I know these places and I know these people

I will be beautiful for you, I was made beautiful for you
Unknown person where are you?
I am alone, but I'm not lonely.

The first snows have reached the fields, the doors are closing
These winter nights are long, maybe I'll see you in the spring
Where in the world do you sleep?
Hibernate, my promise to keep myself for you.

I will be beautiful for you, I was made beautiful for you
Unknown person where are you?
I am alone, but I'm not lonely
I am alone, you can complete me.
